Nashville Singer-Songwriter

At Segue, I was able to produce a couple of songs that I wrote and continue to write more, so
I’m just enjoying the process for now.
There will be more songs coming
one way or another.
— Rylie Bourne

24-year- old Illinois native, Rylie Bourne, released her debut album (featuring 8 original songs) in December of 2015. The revered Nashville session musician, Guthrie Trapp, produced the album. Bourne has spent the last year and a half honing in on her craft, playing shows from dive bars to CMAfest. Her wide ranges of influences are shown in her songs, but she is known for a certain sound:

She’s got that sultry, bluesy,
organic thing
that can only be described as swampy.

Growing up in a family of musicians, Bourne sang on her first track at
just 7 years old. She spent most weekends as a child attending bluegrass
festivals, which she now attributes to her ear for harmony. In 2017, she
graduated from the Nashville-based graduate program “Segue 61” where
she met her friend and duo partner, Damon Atkins. The two toured the
Midwest and East Coast together this Fall.
Bourne’s new single “Shoot to Kill” was released on September 1, 2017.
The song represents a raw version of herself that she had yet to show.
Bourne and Atkins plan to release an EP in 2018.

Three generations of musicians in Bourne’s family came before her, and now the baton has been handed down.
— The Alestle
Bourne does justice to traditional country without sounding dated. Think Kacey Musgraves and Sunny Sweeney with a bit of Dolly Parton sprinkled in.
